This week’s theme is Danceability — yes, it’s a word. Am I the only one that dances mid run? Hand gestures and all? I can’t imagine what people think when they see me run-dancing. Rancing? Runding?

Don’t forget to check out the PLAYLIST THURSDAY CATALOGUE for other bloggers’ posts.

Something Old: These will be songs that are at least 5 years old. I know that isn’t too long to be considered old, but music turnover happens quickly.
Something Current: These will be songs that have been released within the past year. I know, but you have to give me some leeway here.
Something to Consider: These will be songs that are not typically heard on the radio and may be by artists you’ve never heard of or considered running to. This is the wild card category, can be old or current.

Something Old

Artist: Michael Jackson
Title: Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’
Side Note: I really could have put ANY Michael Jackson song here, but I went old school and dropped some Off The Wall on you. And if you are looking for proof that MJ and running go together, click here.
Quotable: “Ma Ma Se, Ma Ma Sa, Ma Ma Coo Sa Ma Ma Se, Ma Ma Sa, Ma Ma Coo Sa”

Something Current

Artist: Calvin Harris & Ne-Yo
Title: Let’s Go
Side Note: Calvin Harris makes an appearance again. I had this song on my 5k list and it works wonders. A must add. Lyrics are repetitive, but damn it if they are not spot on.
Quotable: “Let’s go! Make no excuses now. I’m talking here and now”

Something to Consider

Artist: Black Eyed Peas
Title: Imma Be
Side Note: Thing song was on the radio for a minute but sort of got lost in between Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling. I love saying “Imma Be Imma Be Imma Imma Be” in the robotic voice during runs. Easy to say in between breaths on marathon, then just think: Imma Be: Fast. Imma Be: Strong. Imma Imma Be: Done
Quotable: “Imma be takin them pics, lookin’ all fly and Sh*t” — and then Instagram them. LOL.

There you go… don’t forget to check out everyone else’s Danceability songs here. It contains a list of all recent Playlist Thursday’s across the blog-o-sphere. Awesome, right?

Do these songs make you wanna dance?
