My 52.4 mile race with the San Francisco Marathon is 7 weeks away. Gosh, that seems a whole lot closer than it should be — especially when you factor in a 2-week taper. Last weekend, I finished the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon and it wasn’t my strongest race. It happens. But I am running another full marathon next weekend on June 21 (Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle — more on this later). These two races will be a big part of my training build up and I’ll factor in another long run (further than 26.2) before race day.
the important thing is that I am running this for charity. FOR PAWS to be specific…. and for the SF SPCA to be even more specific. I have committed to raising (at least) $1,000 and am a fraction of the way there. I have partnered up with a bunch of different brands to host a giveaway to everyone that donates. The earlier you donate, the more chances you have to win.
This week, I’ll be giving away (2) HALO Belts and (2 pairs) Pro Compression socks/sleeves.
HALO Belts — these are pretty friggin sweet. If you are like me, then you enjoy starting a long run before the sun comes up and need to be able to have full visibility to cars and others around you. Check out what this company did backed by a Kickstarter campaign. They are LED visibility belts that are reflective, fully adjustable, rechargeable and when you cross two of them, it looks TOTALLY BAD ASS. Each winner will receive ONE HALO belt — color availability may vary, I have one of each color.
Pro Compression — you’ve seen me rock these on several occasions. I’m an Ambassador for them and wear them to race and recover — and yes, I color coordinate my socks to match what I’m wearing on race day. Keeping it classy. Each winner will choose their own style and color.
HALO Belt: Stacey, Sonia
PRO Compression: Meg, Jess

Thank you to everyone for their consideration. I know that not everyone can donate, but I’ll gladly take a virtual high-five from every one of you. There is more to come on my journey to run my personal FURTHEST DISTANCE — yes, I know my current high is 50 miles, but 2.4 more miles is still 2.4 more miles.
What is the furthest distance you have run?
