playlist-thursday-black

This week’s running playlist is a toss up. It’s “pick your own theme” week so I’m just going to list off some songs that could be kinda cool on a playlist. As you can see, the absence of a theme has left me with nowhere to go. Enjoy the random ride.

NOTE: I completely missed the (love) boat and should have made the theme Valentine’s Day related… fail.

Something Old:
Songs that are at least 5 years old. (I know that isn’t too long to be considered old, but music turnover happens quickly.)
Something Current: Songs that have been released within the past year.
Something to Consider: This is the wild card category. Feel free to list any song: old, current, guilty pleasure, underground, whatever.

Something Old

Artist: Snap
Title: Rhythm Is a Dancer
Side Note: 90s. You’re welcome.
Quotable: “Free your mind and join us. You can feel it in the air.”

Something Current

Artist: Swedish House Mafia (ft. John Martin)
Title: Don’t You Worry Child
Side Note: Another one of those dance meets house meets techno meets a guy who can sing. Anyway you explain it, these kinda songs are all over my playlist and work on generating some speed on my runs.
Quotable: “There was a time, I used to look into my father’s eyes. In a happy home, I was a king I had a gold throne.”

Something to Consider

Artist: Harlem Shake
Title: Baauer
Side Note: The song isn’t that fantastic, but the number of You Tube parody videos that are online are freaking great. They are 30 second clips which allow you to get lost in time watching them. I’ll include a couple. CLICK HERE to see other HARLEM SHAKE videos.
Quotable: “Do the Harlem Shake”

Told you it was gonna be a random ride.

What did you think of this week’s songs?

You wanna do the Harlem Shake, huh?
