This is a sponsored post. I was compensated for my time, all opinions are my own unless it appears in quotes.
Many of you have heard me talk about workouts in a group atmosphere, and being located in the Bay Area there are always opportunities to make it happen. I wanted to share with you a company called fitmob. Their idea was to “reinvent the fitness industry and create a community-based, FUN approach to working out.” It all happens in a motivational, group environment that works around YOUR schedule, in a neighborhood of YOUR choice, either indoors or outdoors . Workouts range from cardio to strength training, dance, and yoga and are offered morning, noon, or after work in indoor and outdoor locations.
Finding people who match your fitness level and intensity can always be challenging, but fitmob has set up a way for you to connect with the type of workout partner (and coach) that works best for you. It results in an authentic partnership of fitness, community and technology. Right now, fitmob is active in the Bay Area allowing users to access a custom schedule online, but this could work in almost any city in the future.
MobTribe
fitmob has put together an opportunity for what they call “shared personal training.” It’s a fun and affordable way for up to 6 people to be matched with a top-rated certified trainer and workout in a group environment. The MobTribe will choose a convenient location within the city to workout and motivate each other to get results. The trainer, hand-picked by fitmob, will help each tribe member focusing on personal attention, nutrition tips, tracking daily activity, off day workouts and training.
How much?
We all know that persona trainers cane be expensive, but fitmob has put together a pricing plan that can help make it more affordable and can be cheaper than weekly fees from yoga or pilates studios.
Program package (4-6 people): $34 per session, $408 total for 12 sessions
Program package (2-3 people): $59 per session, $708 total for 12 sessions
It’s obviously more price-friendly the larger the group and if you invite friends, there is a way it can be closer to $29 per session. See their price plans here.
The guarantee
fitmob has so much faith in their sessions, that they have THIS to say: “We guarantee that you’ll love your trainer or we’ll find you a new one. Plus, if you’re not satisfied with a session, we’ll refund it.”
The giveaway
fitmob wants to share their message with you. Simply sign up for the fitmob mailing list below and they’ll send one randomly selected winner a $25 giftcard to Athleta.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
That’s it. I’ve outlined a lot of information above, so feel free to visit fitmob’s website for more details or to learn more about how it works.
Do you enjoy workout alone or in a group environment?
The only group environment I’ve ever worked out in is yoga and pilates classes. I should try to branch out and try some more. Duly noted!
Hi! Sorry for commenting on your post, but I can’t seem to leave an independent post! I love working out in a group environment. Any chance there are fitmobs in berkeley? thx for offering the giveaway.
I always thought I was a workout loner but over the last year and a half I’ve realized I actually love the camaraderie and accountability of a group workout!
Im a loner Dottie. A rebel. (MOVIE? :-))
I am such a loner when it comes to my working out! I know my running would improve if I would do more group runs and this is motivating me to figure that piece out. Not all the time but sometimes:). Great post!
I’ve worked out w the November Project. Love group workouts!
I am all about group workouts! What a great idea!
I love group spin classes and yoga! I’ve also done a handful of power classes at the gym
Before I started running, I would go to step aerobics and group yoga classes.
I love my group yoga class!
This looks really neat! I would say that LATELY I like working out ALONE… because I am RARELY alone… so my workouts are a time for me to regroup, refresh, and focus on the task at hand. :)
I never have tried a group class.
I definitely have worked in a group environment before and I loved it! Would have to say my fave group workouts are TRX and kickboxing.
i have not worked out in a group environment
Yes! I prefer to run in groups actually. It makes the time go by faster.
I Love working out in a group! The time goes by so quickly and I seem to be more motivated!
This is a great way to be outside but get in a workout with a few friends that’s led by a trainer- love it!
Yay!! So exciting to win! Thank you!
