In partnership with Brooks.

Last year, I was honored to be asked to be a part of the Brooks Run Influencer program. I’ve been a fan of Brooks for years and was excited to officially come in board. Throughout 2017, I was kept up to speed on upcoming products, received gear to do what I do, and was able to attend the Brooks Altitude Camp in New Mexico where I was able to meet the Brooks Beasts, experience some behind the scenes insight, gain first-hand knowledge from their experts, and run miles surrounded by amazing athletes.

I’m (run) happy to announce that I’ve been asked to be a part of the Brooks team again for 2018, this time as a part of their Run Happy Ambassador program. I’m excited for the year and anxious to see what Brooks has rolled up their sleeves for us. I received a welcome box with some colorful sidewalk chalk and these colorful Launch 5—custom made for the Rock ‘n’ Roll race series. They are the exact opposite of the other Launch 5 that I received from Brooks in January, so I’ll be ready to kick it around town loud and colorful, or classic white chic — whichever the occasion calls for.

Your pace or mine?

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Brooks has curated some gear: perfect for those couple’s miles, solo excursions, or really any excuse to rock some new gear. With 2018 in front of us, I’m already looking at the latest colorways in my favorites (Adrenaline GTS and the Glycerin).

If you are looking to find a new love, or break up with your old gear — this is the perfect time to accomplish both. Love is in the air and the miles are waiting. Also, if I was more clever I would come up with some pun or joke about running being a long-distance relationship that ACTUALLY works.

Here are a few of my favorites (for the men):

Distance Short Sleeve: A light-weight, comfortable shirt. It has a slightly cotton feel (85% polyester, 15% cotton), so I tend to rock it on my shorter runs — which is funny to me given the name. But it is trust worthy on fit, no chafing — and they just released more colors/styles.

Ghost Short Sleeve: I own three short sleeves, and one long sleeve and I swear by these. Super light-weight, practically seamless, and comfy

Adrenaline GTS: My go-to shoe for long distance. I think I started in the 14s, and this year they released the 18s. My favorite thing? They always have a (practically) solid-red colorway and I love me some red shoes.

Fremont Short: It has a 3rd pocket (with a zipper), that fits my iPhone 7 (with a giant case). Enough. Said.

What do you have lined up for 2018?
