Above are 3 photos from my 16-day journey.
Strava posed a challenge, with the help of Trail Runner magazine, to cover 100 miles over a 16-day stretch from September 1-16. Challenge accepted.
For the first 8 days I had covered 60.35 miles, well on my way to completing the goal. Here is how last week went (with a rest on Sunday):
Monday: 4.5 miles
Tuesday: 11 miles
Wednesday: 2.1 miles
Thursday: 6.6 miles
Friday: Rest
Saturday: 26.2 miles (Mt. Diablo Marathon)
Sunday: 16.2 miles
Total milage for the week (a new high): 66.6 miles
Total milage for the 16-day challenge: 127
Strava only recorded what my Garmin recorded and I had a 4.5 mile run w/out my watch. But that is good enough for 137/3458 participants (as of today).
On Tuesday, I will have a full recap of my Mt. Diablo Marathon experience, the good, the bad and the fall.
I’ll also have a recap on Wednesday of how this was one of my “most satisfying running weekends” to date.
Thank you for all the support on Twitter and Facebook. It was greatly appreciated and needed.
How was your running week?

Awesome accomplishment! I can’t even fathom running farther than a half marathon right now, but I’m hoping that this challenge will come around next year–I think I’ll be ready by that point!
